1. Controller

Peter Skaarup, operating Aurora Sector Studio, is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

2. Website hosting and server logs

This website is self-hosted on a virtual private server located in Denmark. When you visit, the server may record technical information needed to deliver and protect the site:

• IP address
• Browser and operating-system information
• Date, time and requested pages or files
• Referring page, response status and diagnostic information

This information is used for security, abuse prevention, diagnostics and reliable operation. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service. Server logs are retained for up to six months and are not used for advertising or profiling.

3. Support correspondence

If you contact Aurora Sector Studio by email, the email address, message, attachments and any other information you provide are processed to respond to your request and maintain the necessary conversation history.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest in providing support and responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request where the enquiry concerns a service. Support emails are automatically deleted three months after the most recent contact in the conversation.

4. Ko-fi, supporter recognition and Discord

Contributions are handled through Ko-fi and the payment provider selected during checkout. Ko-fi may make supporter information available to Aurora Sector Studio, such as a name or username, email address, message and transaction-related information. Aurora Sector Studio does not receive full card or bank-account credentials.

Supporter information is used to acknowledge contributions, administer supporter records and, when requested, provide community recognition. Ko-fi supporter records available to Aurora Sector Studio are retained until you request their removal, except where information must be retained to meet a legal, accounting or dispute-resolution obligation.

Providing a display name for the public Supporters Wall is optional. If you ask to be listed, the chosen name will be visible to anyone visiting the Support page. You may withdraw that choice and request removal at any time.

If you request a supporter role on Discord, your Discord username and role assignment are processed for that purpose and retained until you ask for removal. Discord separately processes information under its own privacy policy.

5. Aurora Sector Studio desktop application

The desktop application contacts the update service solely to check whether a newer version is available. It does not intentionally send project files, usage analytics, crash reports, machine identifiers or other application data.

Like any network request, an update check exposes the device’s IP address and basic request information to the update server. That information is handled as server-log data described in section 2 and retained for up to six months. Apart from receiving update information, the application operates locally and does not transmit or receive other data.

6. Cookies, analytics and automated decisions

This website does not currently set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising trackers or profiling technologies. It does not make decisions about you through automated processing.

External websites reached through links, including Ko-fi and Discord, may use their own cookies and tracking technologies. Their privacy and cookie policies apply after you leave this site.

7. Recipients and international transfers

Personal information may be processed by or disclosed to:

• The VPS infrastructure provider for the server located in Denmark
• The email provider used to receive and store support correspondence
• Ko-fi and the payment provider selected for a contribution
• Discord when you use Discord or request a community role
• Public authorities when disclosure is required by law

The website and its server logs are hosted in Denmark. Ko-fi, Discord, payment providers or email providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, such transfers must rely on a lawful transfer mechanism. Further details about processing by external services appear in their respective privacy information.

Aurora Sector Studio does not sell personal information.

8. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

• Request access to your personal information
• Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected
• Request deletion or restriction of processing
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Receive information you provided in a portable format where applicable
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

To exercise a right, email support@sectorstudio.eu. A response will normally be provided within one month. Identity verification may be requested where reasonably necessary.

You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.

9. Security and policy changes

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to limit access to personal information and protect it against loss, misuse or unauthorised disclosure. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

This policy will be updated if the website, application or processing practices change. The revision date at the top identifies the current version.
